To celebrate the Cortez's 50th anniversary, Nike teamed up with Union on a Los Angeles -inspired colorway.
The Nike Cortez Union Sesame reveals a multicolored mesh base. Mostly light brown, this refreshed silhouette is finished with suede leather. The lateral Swoosh is presented in pink and matches the front of the eyelets and the back tab on which Chris Gibbs' Frontman logo is located . The turquoise trim nods to the model's history with the inscriptions " Cortez 1972 “This is the original release date of the pair.
Further down, the midsole is made from Crater foam, while the outsole contains at least 10% Nike Mill material .
Through this variation, which represents the cultural diversity of LA, the Beaverton brand and the Californian store offer a rejuvenated version of a classic.
