In the 1990s, Frieda Rapoport Caplan's entrepreneurial spirit helped transform the kiwi into the most celebrated commercial exotic fruit. In celebration of this history, the New Balance 992 Low Hanging Fruit is inspired by the kiwi with its brown suede upper that recalls the fruit's furry texture, complemented by touches of neon green. A strawberry graphic insole alludes to the intertwined relationship between the two fruits.
