The first version of the model was released in the spring of 2006 and is celebrated by sneaker collectors and fans as one of the best non-OG colorways of the Air Jordan 4. The upper of the "Black Cat" Jordan 4 features a matte black nubuck finish. Meshes on the midpanel and throat follow a stealthy look. Both the mudguard and tongue are black, while the heel features a metallic Jumpman logo also in black. Jumpman and Flight logos on the tonal nylon tongue are highlighted in light gray, adding subtle contrast.
